This notice explains what information Fixable Appliance Company LLC collects, what we use it for, who we share it with, and what rights you have. It covers this website and our repair service.
Categories we collect
- Identifiers: name, service address, phone number, email address, IP address.
- Commercial information: job history, appliances, estimates, invoices, and payments.
- Internet activity: pages viewed, referral source, and campaign parameters, where you have consented.
- Content you submit: problem descriptions, equipment photographs, and access notes.
What we use it for
To schedule and perform service, issue estimates and invoices, take payment, honour warranties, answer enquiries, meet legal and accounting obligations, and improve the service. We do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
With vendors acting on our behalf: payment processing, email and SMS delivery, hosting and file storage, and analytics where you have consented. Each receives only what its function requires.
Retention
Records attached to a job — invoices, estimates, repair notes and warranty records — are kept for at least four years. That is not our choice: California tax law requires four years of sales and use records, and the limitation period on a written contract in California is four years, so a record thrown away sooner would leave us unable to answer a dispute or an audit.
Anything not attached to a job — an enquiry that never became an appointment, a message from the contact form — is kept only while it is still useful for the reason it was collected: answering you, and calling you back if you might still need us. SMS consent records are kept while the consent stands, and afterwards for as long as it takes to show that it stood.
We do not delete anything on an automatic schedule, and we would rather say so than describe a policy we do not run. You can ask us to delete your data at any time — see your California rights below — and we will, apart from the part the law requires us to keep.
Your California rights
You may request access to your information, its deletion, its correction, and opt out of sharing. We respond within 45 days. We verify your identity before acting.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends the Sec-GPC signal, we honour it automatically and disable non-essential tracking for that visit. You do not need to do anything else.
